Eliza Popa is the founder, owner and managing director at Cyberstrat IT Consulting. She is a trailblazer with strong determination and wisdom to overcome adversity.
Since 1999, Eliza shown a keen interest in IT and Cyber Security and worked in numerous roles from Business & Functional Analyst to Manager IT Processes, Security & Compliance in end-client multinational organizations, as well as Senior Security Consultant in consultancy firms. Her passion for Cyber Security grew year on year where at Vauban she managed several teams including Information Security GRC and delivered key notable accomplishments conducting IT risk assessments, aligning internal practices with national and international security standards and frameworks, and achieving the objective of securing the SDLC and improving the company’s overall security posture.
This paved way for her to begin a new chapter as she was head picked for a Senior Consultant role by a reputable cybersecurity consultancy firm in the UAE. After having worked with two firms in the UAE and with numerous clients based in Abu Dhabi, Eliza had decided to follow her true calling and open her own consulting firm in Abu Dhabi.
With a can do attitude, Eliza always strive her best to deliver top notch services to clients. Eliza’s professionalism, knowledge and skills are well recognized by the clients she had worked with and the organizations she is affiliated with.
Between 2016 and 2019, she mentored and upskilled hundreds of professionals seeking certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC and CISSP.
Starting in 2019, Eliza became an ISC2 Official Training Instructor for CISSP, and a PECB Certified Trainer.
In 2022, she became a CSA Authorized Trainer for CCSK Foundation and Plus (AWS and Azure), and an ISC2 Official Training Instructor for CC.
In 2024, Eliza became an ISACA – APMG Accredited Trainer CISA and CISM.
